It looks good, but more a comedic take on the original rather than straight Gothic horror. But then, it may be just how its being marketed as a quirky Tim Burton film

I noticed after the third time that I watched the trailer I realized that a lot of the comic atmosphere of the trailer is from the music that they chose, the trailer doesn't really have a lot of funny parts. There is still a lot of serious parts in it. It looks great. I can't wait.

It looks slick and commercial, but I'm starting to have some reservations. The tone is NOT that of the original "Dark Shadows." Where's the gothic mystery. drama and intrigue? As someone said, the trailer plays like "Addams family meets "Beetlejuice" But, let's keep an open mind and see the whole movie before evaluation it.
