The Dark Shadows Festival are to host a special event in Los Angeles, marking the release of the new Dark Shadows movie from Tim Burton. On the evening of May 10, the Vista Theatre on Sunset Boulevard will screen a double bill of the 1970 spin-off House of Dark Shadows, followed by the new feature film starring Johnny Depp.In attendance will be original series actors Lara Parker (Angelique) and Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans) – both of whom have cameos in the new film, along with Nancy Barrett (Carolyn Stoddard), Roger Davis (Jeff Clark), Jerry Lacy (Reverend Trask), James Storm (Gerard Stiles), Christopher Pennock (Jeb Hawkes) and Lisa Richards (Sabrina Stuart). Between screenings, there will be guest autographs and a charity auction.
The event runs from 6.00pm until midnight and tickets are available at $25.00 each, by advance registration only. To register, send payment with a self addressed stamped envelope to: Dark Shadows Festival, P.O. Box 92, Maplewood, NJ 07040.

I would so love to be there. I had been feeling doubtful about the movie until I read the Horrorhound interview with Tim Burton and saw the recently released pictures.
