The Los Angeles Times has reported the death of writer and astrologist Jeanne Avery on February 10. Jeanne is better known to Dark Shadows fans as the mother of actor David Henesy (David Collins).
Jeanne worked as an actress, later becoming a regression therapist and professional astrologist, a subject on which she wrote several books and numerous articles. In 1969, mother and son David made a memorable appearance on the ABC-TV game show Generation Gap, which can be seen on the Dark Shadows: Bloopers & Treasures DVD.
In 2002, she appeared at the Dark Shadows Festival to discuss David's time on the show with fans. She is survived by her children Sharon, Diane and David. Our condolences go out to all Jeanne's friends and family.
