Picture of the Week: David Daydreams

This week, it's a candid 1969 shot of David Selby (Quentin Collins), rehearsing out of costume on the Collinwood foyer set. "My life has changed so much since I became a regular on Dark Shadows that I seldom have time for thought," David told 16 Magazine in 1970. "But when I do, I welcome a moment of silence to contemplate things."

Even out of costume, his Quentin still sends goosebumps up and down my arms. In the beginning he was only able to project the evil of Quentin by expression, this is a sign of a great actor.

I agree with Ron - ghost Quentin was probably the scariest of all versions and it was pure expression. David Selby was my favorite actor from the original series. Even his small appearance in Mad Men reinforced just how talented he is.

Great vintage treasure photo of Actor David Selby our very own QUENTIN COLLINS (ghost, zombie and wolf). He was/still is the rogue-rascal of DARK SHADOWS with his charismatic handsome devil charms. Would love to see his character in DS-2 for when the Collinwood Mansion is being re-stored: I can see the remaining COLLINS moving into the 200 rooms West Wing. Like I said before DARK SHADOWS Mansion has tones of haunting stories to unveil: and the ghost of Quentin Collins is one of many.
