Christopher Lee For Dark Shadows Movie?

Another frequent Tim Burton collaborator looks set to appear in the forthcoming Dark Shadows feature film, with news that veteran British actor Christopher Lee has joined the cast. According to a recent posting by the administrator of Lee's official website: "He is working on the movie for sure. As for his role, I do not know."

Christopher Lee's long career includes numerous iconic roles, including Frankenstein and Dracula for the Hammer horror movies, plus appearances in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and George Lucas' Star Wars prequels. In recent years, he has worked on several projects for Tim Burton, including Sleepy Hollow and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Back in February, Burton presented him with British Academy of Film and Television Arts fellowship.

This is fantastic! A true horror buff can appreciate the work that Mr. Lee has contributed to film. The only thing left is for cameo appearances from the original Dark Shadows cast.

I agree, great cast and creatives on this production. Hoping that the original cast will make cameos and be invited to the premiere!

Oh. My. G-d. I've been saying for a couple of years now that Sir Christopher should be Rev. Trask, he'd be PERFECT! And it's not like he's never worked with Johnny Depp before.................the only thing that would make me even happier is to have the chance to meet him someday. :-)

That is great news and I hope it comes true. It'd would be great if Lee wound up playing supernatural expert and vampire hunter Professor Elliott Stokes. Think of it, Lee on the other side dealing with the Undead. I'm glad that Burton is continuing to have Lee in his productions and sincerely hope that this is not going to be a cameo.

This is great! It would be wonderful if they could get Jonathan Frid to play Joshua Collins.

Christopher Lee should play Reverend Trask! I know he's 89, but they never set a specific age for Trask. Christopher Lee has that dark, sinister, imposing look to him, and that deep baritone voice! He would be perfect!

Professor Stokes, I say either Robbie Coltrane or Michael Gambon.

Well, Christopher was on the cover of Band on the Run, so he's alright with me.
