Warner Bros have released a behind-the-scenes featurette for the new Dark Shadows movie, introducing Barnabas' character. Included is backstage footage and interviews with Johnny Depp, director Tim Burton and screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith, plus scenes from the original series.
Also seen are clips of the cameos from the original Dark Shadows cast and horror legend Christopher Lee, along with a dedication reflecting the recent passing of Jonathan Frid. The piece can be viewed in the window above and is also available to download via iTunes.

Like many here, I was initially taken aback when first seeing the comedic trailer. But now I have totally reversed my viewpoint. I think it's going to be great. Why not? "Ed Wood" is still my favorite film of all time so why should I distrust the latest Burton/Depp teaming...
The first picture brought a tear to my eye.
This is awesome but this script is getting weirder.
It'll be fun to see Christopher Lee as the grizzled old sea-dog Bill Malloy - what a kick it must've been for Depp to meet both Lee and Jonathan Frid and have them as a part of this movie.
Wonderful to see this clip--and the tribute at the end of it. On the verge of tears as I write.
so looking forward to this take on my favourite series, I have faith in Depp, Phiffer and Burton. The recent clips released have been terrific. Here's hoping many sequels on the way!
Brilliant "eye-catcher" movie stills on the up & coming DARK SHADOWS. All the pix are really vivid, mysterious & darkly fantastic. The cameo, of Barnabas/Johnny Depp greeting some of DS's legends/Mr. Frid-Barnabas, Ms. Parker-Angelique, Ms. Leigh-Scott-Maggie/Josette & Rachelle & Mr. Selby/Quentin wraps you into the movie. Can't wait!!
