Merchandise Updates

  • Following on from last week's news, Metrodome Distribution have released more information for their April UK Dark Shadows DVD release, indicating that the set will feature 20 episodes on three discs. To order online, click here.
  • In other DVD news, MPI Home Video have announced that the existing range of Dark Shadows episode DVD sets are to be discontinued ahead of new re-packaged editions being issued in April. The discontinued DVDs will remain available while stocks last, for those wishing to complete collections in the old design; For a full list of volumes with ordering links, click here.

Interesting that the Amazon UK site marks these as suitable for age 18 and over. I assume the great majority of us who fell in love with the series when it was first on were well under 18 at the time... I was maybe 12.

Do you happen to know if MPI is planning on releasing the series in Bluray format? Or is this complete series format the beginning of phasing out selling DS? Tom in Newburyport, MA

There are no plans to release Dark Shadows on BluRay, as the original episodes were not produced to high definition standards. The Complete Series box set is a limited edition item; at the same time the existing episodic box sets will remain available, just in new packaging.
